Waiting to watch
As this was bought as an anniversary present we haven't yet watched it so we are hoping it is as good as The Pillars of the Earth which we enjoyed. I have just finished reading the book which was excelent so UI have great hopesBestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

Great series. Unbelievable price!
Bought the series after watching Pillars of The Earth. Having read the books many times I was pleased that they were so cheap to buy. Very far from the books the story never the less was entertaining and the characters engaging. Great Fun
A highly enjoyable series - yet it is immediately apparent that the characters are far, far less developed than in the book. It is a pity that the story line and the people who inhabit it have been so simplified - I only hope that Ken Follett was not disapointed with the flattened result. Realistic history
Although there is a fair amount of violence the story demonstrates the complexity of history. Families fight for the right to be kings and this series allows you to see those struggles in a 'warts and all ' rollercoaster ride.
