Wonderful for girls

Original and interesting book; very insightful.
I bought this to read to my daughter who's in early elementary school. The overall topic is great and certainly under appreciated, especially in kids' books. The details of the lives of these remarkable women sometimes involve more adult themes, so you have to be a bit careful when reading it to young children. Be prepared to either explain some of the adult concepts (e.g. rape, violence, patriarchy) or gloss over them. Breaking each profile into a short 3-5 min read is also a great idea. Amazing book - A must read for young women today
