    Good introduction to the new characters of Thrawn and Mara Jade.

    This series launched the Star Wars expanded universe of novels and stories. I bought it so I could read about Mara Jade, who is a character I knew nothing about except what my friend told me.It sounded interesting so I bought the series. Also Timothy Zahn will be author guest of honor at ConGlomeration 2019 in Louisville this year, so I will see if he will sign them for me.

    Great book and had original cover art

    I’ve been searching for this specific cover of Heir to the empire for about a year. All the other ones on sites like amazon only had the new legends cover so finally finding this specific book has been amazing.

    Good book for an excellent price

    Even if you're just a casual Star Wars fan, I'd still highly recommend this book starting a new adventure that takes place 5 years after Return of the Jedi. It marvelously builds on the events of the original trilogy and introduces a handful of excellent new characters that I fell in love with right off. The established cast is wonderfully in character, so I could just hear their voices and see their faces as I read. The captivating story drew me in and honorably continues this legendary adventure in a galaxy far far away.

    Enter the Expanded Universe properly!

    The Thrawn Trilogy is probably the best trilogy within the old Star Wars Expanded Universe. If you or someone you know wants to enter the EU, reading this trilogy is the way to do! It still has all of the old characters from the movies we love (most of them) but Thrawn may be the best character of them all!

    A great introduction to the Legends alternate timeline

    Timothy Zahne is a household name when it comes to writing Star Wars novels and this story is a perfect example of how. From the first page, you feel that Grand Admiral Thrawn is a true threat to the New Republic just by how intelligent he is. I look forward to reading more.
