Nice improvements. My 25 year old 18V DEWalt saw finally gave up the ghost. That was aided by dropping a 4X4 on the handle cracking it. I had been using a 20V adapter on it for the last several years and had really gotten great service from it.
I think I am going to like the safety better on the new saw, but who really needs that aggravation? None of my corded saws have one. The guard and brake should be enough to keep the lawyers away and fingers intact.
I bought this saw in a set that cost $500 in 1996. Considering inflation, this is truly a great buy today if it lasts half as long as the 18V did.
