This Prison Is Like An Overheated Boiler
"Brute Force" is a very serious and fascinating movie. It portrays the dark and depressing world of prison life. It explodes into violence with a daring prison break that goes wrong. The action leading up to that breakout is tense and very realistic. The cause of the tension is prison guard cruelty and brutality. Nobody really wins in the struggle but many die for their cause. Great prison drama!
Brute Force is truly one of the best films about prison life. Burt Lancaster heads an excellent cast that conveys a tale of the brutality of prison life and the desire to escape it. Interesting and very Truthful
In the beginning you do not believe that one man is evil. But as the film progresses, you see how almost demonic he is. At the start, you get the impression that all the inmates are terrible, but the viewer becomes sympathetic with some off them. The story is very lifelike and believable.
