Just in Time For a Halloween Rewatch!
The box set of three discs was nicely packaged and has some great photography from the show on the box and the discs themselves. When I was a kid we used to catch the original series after school, and I never forgot how cool it seemed. This remake was in color and aired on nights that I worked, so I only caught the first episode in the original run, but the cast was good (except for Willy, but that was true in the original as well), and Joanna Going was beautiful. It was entertaining, my husband loved it!

Awesome Resurection/Reboot of the Classic TV Series.
Awesome DVD! Glad to have this as a hard copy. Wonderful Cinematography. Wonderful Writing. Wonderful set designs. Only thing I don't like about it is that the extended version of the series finale is not here with the extra deleted scenes that I thought were important for that episode. Dark Shadows featuring Ben Cross
A well made for television, movie quality show! Ben Cross is excellent as the vampire Barnabas Collins! He brings a more macabre persona to his character...I am Happy to own the complete series of only 12 episodes. A Fun Show
Well it is Dark Shadows, so that had me right there since I grew up with the original. It's not the gothic world from the 1960s version but it is still fun - think Golden Girls does Dark Shadows, there's no escaping the late 80s early 90s vibe to this - the clothes, wow those shoulder pads and all that hair! But that makes it a fun remake, sort of an historic view of an other historic show. The characters and plot are close enough to the original for those of us who watched it everyday after school and has an updated view that makes you keep watching to see how they handled shifts in sensibilities. Ended prematurely
This was a fantastic recreation of the original series. The writing, casting, set . . . , all were flawless. it was a tragedy that the Gulf War eclipsed and eliminated the series. Gothic soap opera
