Decent tool, decent value, decent performance.
This jointing tool works on a simple concept, and provides tight joints to frames. It has a good adjustment range, and will, I think, cope with a reasonable range of frame sizes. The 'V' fixings drive in easily, as the pressure which can be exerted by the handle is more than adequate for this. Could perhaps be slightly improved if the screw thread of the clamp was metal instead of plastic, although it is a hard plastic and would seem to be of sufficient quality to last well. Seems to be well-made, of good class materials, and does not look or feel 'cheap'. Whilst it is obviously far short of a professional framer's tool, it is also considerably less costly. If you are starting out on a small scale, or just want to make some frames for yourself, this is an ideal tool to have. ArkyMark

Good piece of kit
Very good and sturdy piece of equipment. Makes mitre joining straightforward and easy pretty much from the word go. As others have said, you really need to glue mitres before inserting the wedges to make a solid joint. To get a really neat and tight joint I also clamp with a band clamp afterwards.

Great workshop addition for occasional framers
Well made, robust machine that is simple to use and works very well. Ability to "stack" V nails is great for deep frames. Would have been 5 stars but the frame clamp screw is made of plastic which otherwise lets down an all metal machine. I can see this part failing in time? Also comes with a handy assortment of V nails and various other bits of framing hardware.

Bought this item to assemble my frames , this item is well constructed ,very easy to use and leaves a professional looking finish to your mitre joints, comes with 200 corner pins and a handy assortment of picture hanging goodies. . Excellent product and would highly recommend.

A good product
I was slightly worried by some other reviews. However I am getting used to seeing reviews that don’t really reflect the facts. Overall this is well made, sturdy and heavy. I made a large fairly complex frame to start and it worked fine. The issue some have mentioned about the v nail not fitting to the magnet properly is not correct in my experience but it’s important to carefully fit it in the first place. If you take it steady it’s fine. I like this product and expect many more years of use from it.

A joy to use in the most arduous of framing conditions.
I bought this because I make picture frames in oak but found that the hand held tools to insert v fasteners was very difficult to use with variable rates of success. This equipment is a joy to use with 100% success rate in what must be the most difficult wood to insert nails in to. I would have no hesitation in recommending this kit.

Great!
So simple and so easy to use and set up. Love the mitre clamp, love how everything is lined up to the centre. Great price! Love the double v-nail feature thing. Works well on hardwood. This tool saves me so much time and workspace - I now no longer need to glue and clamp and set aside overnight every frame I make. I certainly do recommend it!

The tool is ideal for people like me that do not have much space as I live in a flat, easy to store

Bye, bye expensive custom frames!
Very easy to use. Upon arrival I made 15 frames without any problems and to an excellent standard. Get more v-nails as it was great to have 100 but if you are on a mission, you'll need more. Very impressed for the money.
