Timeless issues of young men and their mentors.
One of Robin Williams' best dramatic performances! While set in a private boy's boarding school, the issues, personalities, and situations are as relevant in today's American culture as they were in the setting of the film. Interspersed with bouts of comedic expression, the overall story line is somber and thought-provoking. I have used this film in a high school Film Analysis class, receiving rave reviews from my students.

Fantastic Video!
This is one fantastic story line which first origniated as a movie script, followed by a book. It contains a great message, and displays many truths found in and through life. I recommend this video for people from 13 and up. If viewed by those under 13, I would suggest that the material be explained to the younger child during the video.

thought provoking and entertaining
Love this movie. Robin Williams is excellent in his role as a poetry professor who inspires his students to be free thinking and confident. There is laughter and tragedy. I recently used it as a teaching tool and even the intellectually challenged were engaged. It makes for great discussion.

This has an excellent view of the school system pointing out the lack of creativity and imagination.
