Established in 1688 The Green Howards created the foundation for a tradition lasting 300 years for fine service to the nation. This narrative charts their history and so reflects that of the Army in all its greatest battles: French wars to 1797, Napoleonic era, Crimea, First and Second World Wars and on to Suez and Malaya and represents an enviable military record.
