Another PIXAR success!
What a heart-warming film that the whole family can enjoy together (mostly because it's about family)! I never thought Pixar could outdo themselves after they did UP, but this one certainly does. The story line is entertaining and follows a young boy's story as he learns about his ancestors and the effect they have had on his living family he knows. It ties in the Mexican tradition of honoring ancestors during their annual Dies del Morte (Day of the Dead)kin which they believe the spirits of the dead return for one night to spend time with the living and make sure all is well with them. Magical - A MUST See!
Superior production quality even for Pixar. Wonderfully presented story. Equally enchanting for children and adults alike. Beautiful and reverential in its conveyance of Mexican culture and people. 4K and 3D viewing is an entrancing experience, but it's effectually as compelling in ordinary blu ray. Remarkable story, heartfelt, compassionate and thrilling!
4K rules, low-res drools... this film in 4k totally stomps streaming video. The plot is intriguing, unpredictable and comes to a very honorable conclusion at the end. One of my Favs!
