Ebeneezer Scrooge, George C. Scott - Awesome Combo!
An excellent retelling of a timeless classic, George C. Scott gives Ebeneezer Scrooge the character flaws and reformations that make A CHRISTMAS CAROL a great story brought to screen. Thanks for making this DVD available, I am glad to have it in my library.

My favorite version of all of the "Scrooge" movies!
My favorite of all of the "Scrooge" movie versions. It's hard to top George C. Scott as an actor and he is excellent in this role.

My favorite Dicken's story of change and George C Scott was excellent in the role. I watch it every Christmas.

I always thought it was missing a few things ...
This is a good and interesting one. It use to be my favorite but I always wondered why it was not done as realistically for the time as it could be and then a really good one came along that was better researched for the time. My favorite one is A Christmas Carol with Patrick Stewart and I don't see how this version can ever be beat. If I had the two best ones this one and the one with Patrick Stewart would be it.

One of the better Christmas Carol renditions
George C. Scott does an excellent and convincing job playing Scrooge. Susanna York does a very good job playing Mrs. Cratchit. Fred, Scrooge's nephew is top notch. A tearjerker in a few places.

One of the finest productions ever.
From beginning to end this version of "A CHRISTMAS CAROL" compliments Dickens well. George C. Scott's performance is masterful and the quality of the DVD is excellent. This 1984 version differs somewhat from the 1951 Alistair Sims version, but both versions are worth viewing repeatedly and all of us can benefit from their wisdom.

A Excellant George C, Scott movie
I know there are several versions of this movie out there with different actors playing scrooge and I think George C Scott is the best. Thats why i have added this movie to my dvd ollection

Understated Christmas Classic
Doesn't get much better than George C Scott, excellent performance, always get something a little more out of it every time I watch, definitely timeless!
