Avoid an expensive house call. Fix your own washer. So easy even I did it!
Took me about 30 minutes to install following a how to video I found online. This new motor couple is better than the original. It has a metal centerpiece where the original was only plastic and prone to rounding out. It also has reinforced pins that are much better built than the original. Maytag replacement dryer motor
Replacement dryer motor for a stacked laundry center. Wiring is different from original. New wire contacts included but no instructions how to wire it, instructions found online. Nice product
Very nice product for the price. Built well and a actual factory certified part! My only problem was it fit really snug. Had to hit it carefully with mallet to get it into place. Possibly because it doesn't match my Whirlpool Gold as well or perhaps some swelling of the place it goes on due to usage. Upgrade From OEM product
Original OEM product for Kenmore washers was the all polymer with rubber ring design (285753). The metal insert seems to offer a bit more structural integrity and last longer. For the price keep a couple of these on hand at all times. A commonly failed part for most top load washers. Its designed to transfer yet also absorb a lot of force thus preserving the transmission assembly. Switching this part out can be done in about 5-10 minutes. Better than the Original--Probably
I used this part to replace a broken coupling on a Kenmore 110.24632300 washer. I can't say that I know that this part is of good quality, but it appears to be less likely to break than the original plastic version due to the metal insert. My replacement part has only been in service for a few weeks now. Note that the coupling doesn't install without some force because the metal inserts are undersized a bit relative to the motor shaft and transmission shaft to which the two halves of the coupling attach. I used a socket and hammer to force the coupling onto the shafts. (Use a backup board at the other end of the motor shaft to avoid damage to the motor bearings.) If the coupling halves have been pushed onto the shafts far enough, the spring clips that hold the motor in place should snap into place without much trouble. Otherwise, they can be difficult to install. Don't force the clips into place instead of readjusting the couplings because this generates force on the motor's internal moving parts (bearings presumably), which generates extra friction and thus heat. (This caused a burning smell in my case, which was eliminated after pushing the coupling halves further onto the shafts.)Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

It is very easy to replace the washer motor coupler

Works perfect
Bought this part to replace my broken one. Like others I first noticed the new one had metal reinforced where it mounts on the motor and agitator . It was snug. You need to gently tap it on both shafts. I mounted and marked the one on the agitator first and motor separately to ease installation of mounting the motor. Bumped it on flush on both shaft ends. Was a little apprehensive because others had issues with immediate breakage. So I ran a load through as soon as I got it all back together. Worked perfectly . It's a must for the new transmission
The new transmission came with one and I didn't know that. The YouTube videos I watched said I needed one and I bought one. I never returned it because I didn't ask if the transmission came with one. I know now that the transmission came with one, but would still ask to be on the safe side. Get the transmission and having two weeks worth of laundry sucks only to order another part and wait another two weeks. Sometimes the transmission only has 1/3 of the bushing it is a three part bushing. If the transmission doesn't come with the hole bushing you with try and put it together and the first time you use the machine it will fail and then you get to remove very wet clothes and shoppe vac out the water. Order a new bushing and take it all apart again and put in the very very cost effective part and have a new washing machine. Even if you don't need it you should buy it having an extra one is so much better than having to listen to the ex and take it all apart again!!!!!! MarkBestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

This part saved me a big repair bill, or worse, having to buy a new washing machine
Opted to spend a little more ($9.95) instead of the cheapest one available to get "Genuine WHIRLPOOL OEM" part. Was a tight fit on both the motor and transmission shafts; rather than drive them on with a rubber mallet followed some YouTube advice and filed the interiors just enough to tap them gently into place. Whirlpool Coupling
This replacement coupling seems to be well made and it was a perfect fit on my Kenmore / Whirlpool washer. So far it has been working fine; but I can't say how durable it will prove to be.
