First timer happy
This is the first time I've ever used a metal detector and wanted a well made, in the US, model with only the right features to start off with. After a month I'm impressed with it and for a newby it was fairly easy to get working in the basic manor. Easy to use lightweight great features best product for your money.

Has all the great features in a detector that cost twice as much.

AT Max is worth the money? Yes it is.
Anyone looking for a metal detector that is worth the money can not miss on this product. This metal detector is perfect for the person who wants to hunt in any condition. Trashy areas, no problem, under water, up to 10 feet, fields and the woods are my favorite places to hunt. This detector can take a beating and keep on going. Made for all terrain and wireless headphones make it even better. No snags on brush and trees to slow you down. Garrett has stepped up to the plate and knocked one out of the park for the relic hunter who needs a GO TO Metal Detector. I already own an AT Pro that I love and still upgraded to the AT Max because it's a better product and worth the money. Great adjustability and versatility
The Garrett AT Max is a wonderful machine no doubt but the Garrett AT Gold/Pro do the job just fine! I used this product for a good few weeks now and am fully satisfied with the ability to adjust settings and its versatility. This Garrett AT MAX Metal Detector is absolutely the greatest unit ever. Right out of the box, I found loads of metal objects (nothing valuable yet) that have been buried for over fifty years. Once I become more familiar with all the finer settings, I know I am going to love searching for more. Metal detecting can become addicting once you find your first item. I haven't found a single bad point about the AT MAX. Easy to use and does what it was meant to do,
This metal detector does everything that is described in the brochure. Almost everyone says this is one of the best detectors on the market. I've already found a gold ring not far from my house. The wireless earphones are very comfortable to wear and no problem setting them up. Awesome detector at a great price.
Garrett makes the best detectors in the world. This detector was a factory refurbished model that looked and functioned like brand new. It has a full factory warranty and was cheaper than well used ones go for on the internet!
