In this visually creative space adventure from the team that would go on to give the world INDEPENDENCE DAY and GODZILLA, a timid, glasses-wearing Egyptologist (James Spader) uncovers an ancient portal to another planet and is dispatched there forthwith--along with blundering, clodfooted government troops (led by Kurt Russell). The downtrodden populace they encounter, ruled by godlike, androgynous King Ra (Jaye Davidson, in his first role after becoming a star in THE CRYING GAME), must be led to literacy and freedom; Ra must be defeated; the intellectual must find his machismo; and our boys must return to Earth.

Spaceships are a thing of the past when one has a StarGate
The movie that started it all.. that twisted our history of "who built the pyramids"..bring Ancient Technology to a new level. The show that changed Sci-Fi forever, bringing past, present, and future into one momentous Time for ALL...across the Galaxies!

A GREAT Movie
This is one of those movies that goes in the elite 5 star column. It had everything, great acting, great storyline and totally entertaining. There were no slow and boring parts or fill-in areas. This was just a GREAT movie, outstanding in all aspects.

A classic made BETTER by running the movie as originally cut!
A new dimension to a classic movie. The deleted scenes are amazing and you MUST listen to the commentary to get the explanation on some very important plot lines that were revised for this edition (see picture hint).

A great sci-fi movie
A great movie. If your into sci-fi.actors do a good job and if you're into ancient aliens tv show or Eric von daniken or Zechariah Sitchen. Yeah not into spoiling the movie. It's worth getting

Best Version to Have
I couldn't be happier with this! It contains footage and dialog that I never saw or heard before but adds quite a bit to the overall story!
