brilliantly clever dialogue in a historical comedy
brilliant tv series- clever dialogue that skillfully weaves old time life and history with modern contemporary life in a hilarious show. all the episodes work as stand alone comedy ,and together make a great series.

Watch it again and again!
Ben Elton is such a good writer, and the performances are pitched so perfectly that this gets better with repeated viewings. The characters are well drawn and consistent, and the script is so witty and incisive. Great fun on many levels!
