See it.
A cleaned up version of true history. The real characters were far less appealing. Even so, it is a great film with amazing performances. Highly recommended with a great acting couple as Vivian and Laurence were married at the time. The battle scenes are excellent and true to history. Yes, Nelson really died as if he was acting out a movie script.

That Hamilton Women
When Vivian Leigh is sly and beautiful the men better look out. So it is in this movie. Now after, Sir Olivier and miss Leigh made it legal and married. A great film. I recommend it to all film fans especially those who like classics.

Arrived on time and in great condition
Delighted to finally get this film. Vivien Leigh is superb in this early 19th Century film set in the Napoleonic War and a love affair with Lord Nelson.

Gorgeous even in black and white
I came across this movie while searching for books about Admiral Nelson. After getting it from Netflix I decided I wanted it for my own so I could see the clothes and sets whenever I liked. It is a nice addition to my collection. As you might expect, it is a bit dated, but even in black and white the clothes and sets are worth seeing, as is Vivien Leigh. When I explained the story to my daughter, she didn't like the ending. Sorry about that, but it is a true story!! If you are a Master and Commander fan, you will like this.
