Robust and easy to use.
Very good quality, very easy to load with a sandpaper strip that you can cut from a sandpaper roll. I have three in my workshop.

Quality product
More expensive than its counterparts but I was buying the name. As expected it is of good quality particularly in the paper retention. Sanding walls and good tool for the job.

The Stanley hand sander is a well made piece of equipment. The main problem with it is that no-one except perhaps Stanley make sanding sheets to fit it. The bed is 230mm long so sanding sheets need to be 300mm long to reach and clip under the end plates. At 80mm wide it is much narrower than a 1/3 sheet sander. The only way I can see of getting the right size sheets is by using rolls of sandpaper, to get the length, and by trimming the 105mm to get the right width. I wanted a replacement for a 1/3 sheet sander which had broken. If that is what you want then avoid this sander
