Accurate sound, lightweight, and great imaging
Coming from my previous Audio Technica headphones (ATH-A900x closed-backs), these R70x's are a huge upgrade. Bass extension is surprisingly decent for an open backed headphone (though they're by no means bass-heavy), really nice mids, and clean treble. The imaging is accurate, making them quite nice for FPS games like CS2.

Fantastic headphone...very similar tunin...
Fantastic headphone...very similar tuning to the Sennheiser 6xx which I love. A perfect neutral/warm lean sound signature to my ears. A bit more bass than the 6xx. Sound quality is just fantastic and they are extremely comfortable. 0 complaints. Now tied for my 1st favorite headphone with the Sennheiser 6xx. 5 stars A++.

Best headphones I’ve had!
I am in no means an audiophile, but I have been looking into getting something better than my old bose I’ve used. These hit the spot! Awesome audio and they feel super comfortable. Best gaming headset I’ve ever had as well!

Incredible sound quality at a reasonable price
The ATH-R70x has incredible tone, imaging, and sound-stage. The neutral response is great for hearing music exactly as intended, or equalize to your sound preferences. Whether you are using them for mixing or casual listening, they can be worn comfortably for many hours at a time. The only drawback of these headphones is that they require a headphone amplifier: don't expect good sound quality if they are plugged into a phone, tablet, laptop, or computer.

Smooth Even Sound
Nice balanced set of headphones. The construction of the headband is a little odd, but it stays in place on my head and is really light. The sound is relatively flat and warm compared to my 58x which has upper bass/low mid bump. It does need a headphone amp. Using it with my RME Babyface pro the R70x is quiet when using the headphone out especially compared with the 58x. I got these because of their reputation for being neutral and having a flat frequency response, and they deliver on that as advertised.

Lightweight with great sound quality
very nice and comfortable pair of headphones. Has a high impedence and will likely need a good headphone amp but is well worth it when driven properly.

These are fantastic,...
...for mixing my recordings on and for just listening to music. I would recommend the ATH R70x to anyone that prefers accuracy over bass boosted hype.

I'm more than satisfied.
Very good sound quality. Could be a bit more comfortable, but might be relative to head size etc. Overall good to wear for a long time. (more tiring with glasses) Lightweight and sturdy.
