A great taste of old-style entertainment!
Before TV, comics were the visual entertainment medium, and Chester Gould's Dick Tracy was at the top. This book is part of a chronological series of comics spanning the entire Gould run. The earlier books like this one have more traditional stories of "cops and robbers" which are still very entertaining. Some of the later books have the more colorful and grotesque characters Dick Tracy is remembered for. Still, these early volumes are filled with entertaining, fleshed-out stories that draw you in and keep you interested. The only drawback is: you have to be careful you don't fly through an entire book in one day!
