The Sagas of the Icelanders
Compelling stories, vividly told, brings a little known world to life . vastly influential . "not of our time" behavior of the characters . lust, greed, jealously, ambition, pride, cruelty, revenge, honor, betrayal, violence, heroism, sacrifice, loyalty, and on and on . . The compilation is not a novel . . you are not going to sit down one evening and polish this volume off like a modern thriller . it will take months .
