Timeless Sci-Fi Classic
I'm a film buff, whatever the genre. There are some film's that are just as good the 20th time as the first. In Science Fiction, "War of the Worlds" is such a film. H.G. Wells' harrowing tale of a Martian invasion of our planet has come to screen more than a few times, but none come close to the George Pal/Byron Haskins early 50s masterpiece starring Gene Barry as a scientist caught in the middle of an attack on our world by beings from another. The Visual and sound effects are fantastic even by today's standards and for me, the perfect cast delivers one memorable line after another. War of the Worlds
Saw this when I was a kid, loved it then, it’s still pretty great. I had a crush on Gene Barry, so it was great to have this again. I love 50’s and 60’s sci-fi, so I’m very happy with this purchase. Love this movie
. I was so happy to find this movie. It is one I have watched many times on TV through the years but having it and watching it when I want is wonderful.
