Through an outstanding collection of colour images, this book traces the evolution of the British railway carriage, from the stage coaches on rails used at the dawn of the railway age, to the BR Mk1s of the 1950s and 60s. Adding to reference books for the modeller.
Whilst not as detailed as I might have expected this is still a useful modelling resource to go with all the other publications on coaches I have. Good book, well illustrated with unusual and uncommon views of familiar and unfamiliar examples of stock, locations and liveries.
