    An update of this 1995-vintage anime CLASSIC!

    If you love the original 1995-version of 'Ghost In The Shell' you will be happy to view this newer version with new CGI 'improvements' in places. Overall the images are crisper and cleaner than the original DVD version(which I have had for years). But with that said, I found the places that were "improved" looked awkward compared to the remaining 'original' movie in the 2.0 version Blu-ray. I feel that this another example of folks doing something just because they can and not because they should. Although the Blu-ray 2.0-version is a cleaner version optically, the CGI parts seem unnecessarily 'contrived' compared to the 'original' version, which is fortunately ALSO on this disc! Since the 'original' version is also on this disc and the dialog is also 'dubbed' in English the viewer can ...

    Easily the best of the ghost in the shell series. Makes you think is still funny, is serious and political. all taking place in a theoretical future... A great animated series.

    GITS 2.0

    It's a good movie but it doesn't beat the original from 1995 even so you can buy it just for the high definition it has and if you like to collect it should go in your ghost in the shell collection.
