Watch history unveiled with this John Adams film!

History in the Making
This movie separated Joe Giamatti from a character to a lead actor who carried the movie from the beginning to the end. Entertaining and educational
Awesome movie. A book by David McCullough is a sure thing for a great movie. Being from Massachusetts, a few miles from Quincy, I can identify with the location. It was awesome to learn about someone who has been seen in the shadow of Jefferson. Quality!
In being one of the greatest series, and one of great historical value, this is the third time in the past ten years for me to watch this. This time I bought it instead of borrowed, at a great price in fact, and in brand new, unopened condition with a great price attached, and delivered undamaged in good speed. Best way to learn our history.
This is one of the most amazing history lessons I have ever seen. The movie is acted out so wonderfully that I didn't want it to end. The make up, costumes, and sets were second to none, giving a face to history and all that we have learned about our nation. This should be mandatory viewing for out children. I borrowed it from a friend who insisted I watch it. After putting it on the back burner for 3 months, I finally watched it and could not turn it off. I cannot speak too highly of this mini-series. A "must view" for anyone interested in U.S. history.
This is probably the best historical depiction of what took place during the founding of our amazing republic. It does not gloss over the imperfections of the founders and the struggles they went through during the Revolution and then deciding how this republic would function. While I haven't read McCullough's biography of John Adams (from which the screenplay was adapted), I have read several other books on this great man, as well as currently reading 1776 by McCullough. Entertaining and Informative
Even if you're not an early American History nut, you'll love this 7 part series. And if you are, you will have to have it. Great movie with fantastic actors. And it's historically accurate and showcases wonderful sets. Paul Giamatti is one of the most underrated actors in the world. America needs more films like this to educate our populous. Wow. American History
This is a small sample of our American History and the struggles we went thru in the very beginning. Paul Giamatti gives an academy award performance. Worth your time. Wish he was here today.
Adams defense of Captain Preston and the British sentries at the trial of the Boston Massacre was condensed but nicely and accurately retold. Most of the summation were from the actual transcript.
