The Handmaid's Tale is a fantastic book, I first read it years ago, but, wanted to revisit it after seeing the television adaption, brillient.

Not as compelling as I anticipated
This is a classic and well written. Normally I read a book first then watch it on tv and the production dissapoints compared with my imaginings from the book. In this case, the televised version wins hands down because over several series it has the time and scope to expand on the original story. Frightening police state
The book is a harrowing story about a self righteous police state. All the outrages detailed in the book have in fact happened during the course of human history. Good read
I was compelled to read this book after watching the TV series. I wanted to understand more about the plot which wasn't fully explained. This book answered all my questions although it was a bit tedious at times. If you enjoyed the tv adaptation you should read this bookBestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu
