Excellent guide book
Very very useful. Glad I bought it has been a real boon to our safari. A must have item for any nature lover who visits East Africa.

It may be a tad out of date, but an old edition still gives a good overview of the region.

Outdated birds guide
No photographs, only drawings of birds gathered in the center of the book, the descriptions are grouped separately. The drawings are small in size and very dated. They identify the main most emblematic species by themes. It sometimes directed me to refine my research on the Net. It is an ancestor of modern guide, the price in second-hand is ridiculous but for curious preparing a first travel in East Africa, why not?
