I don't have much of the IRS years from REM, so this album scratched that itch nicely. There are a few alternate versions here as well. This is a nice collection to get, but I think they could've added more to it. Still very much worth it in my opinion.
Good mix of early REM tunes. My favorite might be Gardening at Night. Not a big hit and its production quality sounds a bit like a garage recording session, but its true, raw REM. I'll take it any day over the overproduced, formulaic pop that is dominate today and wants to make me pull my hair out.
