This children's story features the voice talents of well-known actors, including Cate Blanchett, Liam Neeson, Noah Cyrus, and others. "Ponyo" brings together such wonder and heartfelt imagination that it has become one of Japan's highest-grossing films in movie history. While meant to be a children's movie, "Ponyo" can appeal to all ages and backgrounds with its precise animation, colorful characters, and engaging storyline. This two-disc set contains behind-the-scenes featurettes, a special introduction by the producers, and much more. The movie is 103 minutes long and is rated G.

Sweet story with a great message
Ponyo is a favorite for me. It's beautiful to see the way the friendship blossoms between the two main characters, and is an example of kindness and never giving up. A sweet take on a classic tale.

Ponyo
One of the best movies our family has ever seen. It is a beautiful storyline with great actors such as Betty White, Matt Damon, Cloris Leachman , and Liam Neeson just to name a few. The animation is soft, the voices are soothing; great for the entire family.

Delightful tale--beautifully animated and fine vocal performances.
A classic! Grab a copy ASAP. it goes out of print form time to time. The characters are endearing--and the plot unpredictably delightful. Family themes.

We Love Ponyo
Grandkids loved Ponyo when we saw it on a movie channel. So happy to have found the disc, now they can watch it whenever they like.

DVD was defective, old?
This DVD did not work in a reliable DVD player. It looks like the disc has some damage, maybe from water or a humid environment?

Miyazaki at his best
Sweet and touching film is wonderful for all ages. Animation is brilliant and voice work by Liam Neilson, Tina Fey and others are superb! This would be an excellent addition to anyone's vdeo library.

This is Anime children can watch and enjoy.
This is a Japanese adaptation of the Little Mermaid. Ponyo lives under the sea with her siblings and a father who is a magician. One day, she is swept to a beach where she meets a boy. The boy thinks she is a fish and tries to save her by putting her in a bucket. Love and adventure follow. It's a sweet story with a good ending. I highly recommend this one.

i love ponyo
so much better than the original disney little mermaid there are strong female role models and it's a much more child friendly movie in my opinion because she doesn't change herself for a boy she changes herself for her own happiness
