Toastie digits!
These are great heated grips. Operate by way of a three position switch-off, warm and hot. Warm up pretty quickly on hot setting, then switch down to warm, as hot can be too hot! These are wired directly to the battery, so could be left on to flatten it. I think the more expensive Oxford grips, (eg touring), contain a microswitch which turns the grips off when it detects a drop in battery charging. I. e., when the engine is switched off.

Oxford commuter hot grips
A simple bottom-of-the-range set of heated grips. 3 positions, low, off and high. Who needs more complication? Well made and very effective. Wouldn't be without them.
