The End of Evangelion
Until finding this listing, I had resigned myself to thinking I would never get a copy of this groundbreaking movie. Everywhere else either asked for way too much, or all of the good deals were quickly snagged by others before I had a chance to see then. With this, however, everyone should reasonably be able to finally afford this! With free shipping and excellent, safe pckaging around the DVD to boot, this was a no-brainer purchase.

Good price on an out of print dvd.
Would give 5 stars but in shipping the disc dislodged from the dvd holder area and disc has 2 scratches on it. I can buff them out but ots annoying that they are there.

Really great deal for a really great movie
I love this movie so much and I’m glad that I have a physical version of this movie. Comes in great quality too (not new but not heavily used) and also comes with poster and everything. Would 100% buy again

The perfect conclusion to the perfect series
A warning beforehand, this film is NOT for anyone with a weak stomach, aversion to use of Christian or Jewish symbolism in entertainment, or an aversion to sex. This film takes place after episode 24 of Neon Genesis Evangelion, as an alternate ending, and the director's original vision for the ending that couldn't be realized in the series because of budget and deadline issues. It's a mindscrew all the way through, and you'll need to watch it and the series multiple times to even grasp the basics of what's going on behind the scenes. It's one of my favorite stories of all times, and has a beautiful message, and an ending that... can be interpreted in many, many, many, MANY different ways. The only major issues I have are with this specific DVD release. For one, it's very poorly formatted. It's letterbox, so the image is smashed down into a small rectangle in the middle of the screen. Sure you can zoom in, but if you're watching it subtitled, it will cut the subs off. Which brings me to my second gripe; the subs aren't a direct translation, but rather the subtitles to the very poorly localized dub, which is so bad that it causes many people to interpret a much different meaning to the film based on a few lines in the last 30 minutes. All in all, this is an incredible film, but unless you're a collector, or a die-hard fan, you should just wait for a possible blu-ray rerelease. Please don't pay more than $30 for this.

Fantastic movie ! It presents a really good conclusion to the Noen Genesis Evangelion series and great companion for the last two episodes.
Love this purchase and so happy to own it ! The awesome poster inside is a wonderful bonus !

Mecha Deconstructed. That is all.
The series Neon Genesis Evangelion deserved an epic ending. Due to many constraints - time, budget, and the grind of creating art, the last two episodes of NGE are esoteric and hint at the possibility of the apocalypse without showing the actual "Third Impact." Due to the overwhelming popularity of the series upon release in Japan, creator Hideaki Anno got the chance to do what every creator dreams of. Anno was given the license - and budget - to create his magnum opus. This film is not happy, wistful, or mystical. It's downright uncomfortable to watch at times. But if you invested your time into watching the series, then you must see this film for closure. Probably my favorite film ever if I am to be honest - this series has layers of meaning, but is meant to be confusing at first. Stick with it, look for greater meaning than just one character, and you'll get it.

Always read the description
Came as described and I love the artwork inside the case. The only problem I have is that the aspect ratio is smaller than my Television. I can use the zoom format feature but then I can not read the subtitles if there too long.

I am satisfied with my purchase. Excellent film. Helped me face and overcome alot of serious problems in my life. I'd say I'm doing alot better now. The DVDs are legit and I'd recommend this movie to anyone with a pulse.

Worth the money
Package arrived a couple days later than expected. Movie came sealed and with the mini-poster included. There were a couple of buffs on the disc itself, but I wiped it away, and they were gone. Disc works perfectly too. Definitely worth the money. This copy was proven by the Evangelion subreddit not to be a bootleg. This is 100% legit.
