Happy to find this volume in such good condition
I treasure all the volumes in this set, but I was missing book 5. It has been out of print for a long time, at least it was out the last time I checked. Foxfire books are great no matter which edition!
Trying to complete my collection of the original editions of Foxfire books. All great content and a treasure of lost knowledge. Foxfire 5 features blacksmithing, iron making and flintlock rifles. Living in North Carolina, I am also interested in bears, although I do not think I would ever go bear hunting. I have been collecting the Foxfire Book series for several years and each one is compelling in its own right. However, having the entire collection up to this point, (12 Volumes) gives and entire new meaning to knowing about "Just Plain Living", and how to survive with very little. What started out as a class assignment in an Appalachia high school has become a valuable lesson in life itself.
