Better than what you think
I've seen reviews where people are complaining about the set that comes in the big white box and would prefer the individual season cases with the covers as shown. Well surprise, this complete season does come in the big white box and I was about to throw a fit (as I wanted the individual season cases). So, I opened it and guess what, all of the season cases were inside! This was the best price I found, was received sooner than expected and the recipient was extremely pleased. If you are even thinking about buying it, don't hesitate - do it!

Packaging leaves much to be desired
I wanted to try this series after a friend recommended it. It didn't engage me so I'm passing along to someone who enjoys this series. The packaging is a real disappointment as disks are kept books with cardboard holders. This type of disc holder can scratch discs and they are hard to remove. The set comes with extra books that I had no interest in. The only possible benefit to buying this particular set is to have all seasons in one place. Personally I'd rather have series I plan to keep in individual sets.

Missing episodes and episodes are out of order
Not a good purchase. There are a few cd's in each season where there is no information written on them (they are blank cd's) which means it's missing episodes and alot of the episodes are not put on the cd's in the correct order as how they actually are. I've been watching Gilmore Girls for years on other sources including the actual dvd's bought from stores and how they numbered the cd's and how they put the epidsodes on the cd's are not in the correct order. Now I'm going to have to rebuy all the seasons again, only making the total amount that I'm putting towards getting a complete series double, so not the happiest about that. Good notes: the product came in good timing, the physical description was accurate, the binding was intact, there are nice extra books inside that are a nice read about the characters and the episodes.

Gilmore Girls is entertaining
Light comedy/romance. I recommend you watch episodes in order, from the beginning, as later episodes build on the events of the earlier ones. Story centers around a single mother, Loreli, who as a teenager, rebelled against the values of her rich, stuffy parents. She continues to be at odds with her parents, who do not appreciate her somewhat free-spirited lifestyle. Loreli's teenage daughter, Rory, is brilliant and attractive and she and her mother have a close relationship. Rory has major college ambitions, which play a large part in the series. The shows are full of one-liners and comic situations, while still working in plenty of dramatic situations. Overall, it's the type of show that will lift your spirits.

Well worth the price
Box set is very well organized and compact. Discs are securely held in place without being too difficult to remove for viewing. The show itself is engaging and has moments the viewers can relate to.

Gilmore Girls: The Complete Series Collection
Some of the cd's don't read well, and have a lot of skips, but for the most part, all are great. I really wanted this set, and don't regret getting it. Overall, a great value!

Gilmore girls it's about a mom and her daughter who have a close relationship
My mom and I loved watching this series, I recently lost her, she had a brain tumor. So everytime I watch Gilmore Girls I will think of her. This series is very entertaining. Thank you

A Man's Point of View
I didn't watch the Gilmore girls for probably the first 3 or 4 seasons because I thought it was one of those 'girly' shows....then I caught part of an episode that was absolutely fantastic, and asked my wife what she was watching.... so I became hooked after one short scene, and have been as addicted as she is ever since. Something for everyone, not unlike 'MASH' in that it will make you laugh, cry, love, and hate in the same show.....and now I have every single moment to study at my leisure. My pals at the VA and biker bars don't look funny at me anymore, since most of them are now fans, too.....

Excellent series
I'm new to this series, but quickly got interested in the characters and story lines. I never watched it when it was on TV. I'm an older woman, but still enjoy watching one or two episodes, when time allows and following this great, wholesome show.
