Great quality for the price
I didn't expect to much at this price point and was surprised by the weight when I got it. It's quite sturdy and stable even for a 'black rifle' with a plastic stock. It would definitely hold a standard rifle better and with a little creativity, a pistol too. The contact points are made of a softer rubbery type material, probably non-marring. The rubber feet hold the vise in place pretty good. I feel I'll definitely get my money's worth out of it by making maintenance and adjustments easier to do with a quality product that was only in the $50 range.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Wish I had bought this gun vise years ago. Excellent quality product. The locking cam is great!
I've been a gun enthusiast for over 40 years. After inheriting my dad's guns at age 18 when he passed, I continued to build my collection. I don't shoot a lot, but I do have NRA's Sharpshooter patch. When I do shoot, I like to clean the guns well before storage. I cannot believe I have waited this long to finally get a gun vise to make cleaning SO much easier. before now, I've had to prop my gun up with blocks or pillows, or even the bags from my corn hole game! The Tipton Gun Vise locks the gun in place without marring the finish. It comes with some very minor assembly required. Takes about 5 minutes. I really like the locking cam. It makes it easy to swap rifles when you finish one. Scope mounting is an absolute breeze. I really appreciate the moulded in trays to put screws, patches, solvent, lube, tools, etc. There is even a little recess to hold your cleaning rod. It is lightweight, but engineered to be very sturdy. This is not a shooting sled. I would not use this product to sight in a high-powered rifle. That is not its intent. It has non-slip feet on the bottom to keep it from sliding around on your table or workbench. My only improvement suggestion would be to add an anchoring points for the option of screwing it down as a permanent fixture. I got a great buy on this item, and would buy it again. Plastic gun cleaning vice of good quality
Works great. I wish I had purchased one many years ago. Keeps the rifle in place when you are cleaning. I use C clamps to hold the vise in place on a picnic table outside. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to clean there rifles or shotgun, I also use a one piece Dewey rod for all my target rifles. Use it correctly
If you're looking for an extra 'hand' to assist you in cleaning, general maintenance, and/or build of your long gun, this is the perfect fit. And with a little ingenuity, it will even hold a pistol. But perhaps it should have been called a clamp, not a vise... It's sturdy enough to hold things tight, just don't overdo it. Well designed, good value

Little Money...Lotta Vise.

It Works

Be careful in assembly
This product is of fairly good quality, but be kind of careful when you assemble the parts with the self-threading screws. Even though the instructions are specific about not over tightening the screws into the plastic parts, it still might be easy to do because the first threading of the screws is stiff and difficult. The other thing is that you have to be particular about the assembly of the clamp spring...at least mine didn't have a stud on the clamp to capture the spring and it kept coming off of the clamp arm.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu
