    favorite Nick album

    Some of the most honest and beautiful music I've ever heard. Although this album listens like a suicide note, it's the best way he could have said goodbye. The guitar riffs are elegantly simple, and he ads no backing instruments other than the one piano solo on the first track. Nick's lyrics are both prophetic and childlike, creating the perfect soundtrack to a rainy Sunday or a midnight car ride. I would highly recommend this to anybody looking for a unique take on seventies folk. This album entrances the listener and forces them to see the world through the eyes of depression, the same eyes that haunt the face of the clown on the cover. Very thought provoking and intense, but a great listen.

    Acoustic amazing

    I found out about Nick by an article about Elliot Smith another artist gone to soon. Downloaded from Amazon and was totally blown away. It's hard to believe this gem almost never happened and what a lost it would have been. Recorded over two midnight sessions and probably all one takes, Nick delivered the goods. This remastering really makes everything so definitive, good and bad. There are some really beautiful pieces and some nice heady pieces as well. I wish Nick's entire catalog could be stripped away to really enjoy his singing and playing. Well done Nick, pink moon gonna get you too

    NICE...NICE...NICE

    Great blend of acoustic arrangements and poetry from an Era that many of our generation 60's/70's would remember. Very mellow, almost methodical, but nice to listen to. A true pleasure for the senses.

    Timeless voice

    Hearing the title track of the album, you might be reminded of a VW commercial - and you'd be right. But Nick Drake's music is so much more than commercial; it invokes a sense of peace and contentment not often found. His voice is rough and soothing, a combination that makes this album memorable and infinitely playable.
