MY NEIGHBOUR TOTORO follows Satsuke and Mei, two young girls who find that their new country home is in a mystical forest inhabited by a menagerie of mystical creatures called Totoros. They befriend O Totoro, the biggest and eldest Totoro, who is also the king of the forest. As their girls' mother lies sick in the hospital, O Totoro brings the sisters on a magical adventure but also helps them to understand the realities of life. Like most films released by Miyazaki's Studio Ghibli, this family-oriented feature has a powerful ecological theme.

Great film!
A huge fan of this film, I've now had the pleasure to introduce my brother to it. Was very happy with the sealed DVD, an excellent edition to the collection!

Wonderful and magical
Miyazaki's homage to what he felt was his country's loss of connection to the natural world and the spirits that inhabit everything. Which is all done in his inimitable light-hearted way immediately accessible to children of all ages. The little girl Mei and then her sister are drawn into and then helped by the nature spirit Totoro. It is magical and moving and a great introduction to Miyazaki's storytelling and thoughtful cinematography.

Totoro - the cutest film in years
What a wonderful, enchanting story - so different to formulaic Hollywood/Disney etc. We loved this film. Totally cute.

No [Padding] in DVD Box.
The DVD Box although hadn't damaged the film had been cracked by previous accident or delivery problems. It had me finding a suitable replacement before I carried it round to show my friends,
