NotesEnglish trip hop collective Massive Attack reached out to dub music producer and engineer Neil Fraser a.k.a Mad Professor to remix a song from their previously released album Protection. After the single was remixed, the band asked Mad Professor to listen to more of the album to delve into the possibility of additional remixes. The project then became a track by track remix of almost the entire album dubbed; 'No Protection Dub'. This is no mere exercise in knob-twisting, Fraser explores these tunes very intimately and yet strips them of almost all their original identity, creating something new. If you're a fan of the Massive Attack original, you'll be exceptionally entertained by this very original and well-crafted musical masterwork.
