Sound Oasis S-850 Travel Sound System
I have been using a white noise generator for more than 30 years especially when I travel. However, I have grown so accustomed to using it I have several, one for home use and two for travel. Highly recommended.

Best when used with speakers
I've had a couple different similar units in the past, travel alarms with a built-in sound machine. None are great with their little built-in speakers, but if you connect these to a small set of computer speakers, or better, a set with a sub woofer, then the sounds are very realistic, and can fill the room with sound. My only negative is the lack of different alarm bells. You can use any of the built in nature sounds, but you want a bel or chime, there is only one, and it's more of just a beep.

This is not a soother sound machine. It is a great little alarm sound machine however.
