Product Information

Based on the GameCube version of the title, Animal Crossing Wild World casts players as of the newest resident of a happy little village, populated by friendly talking animals. There is no overarching narrative to push players in a particular direction. Instead of assigning a progressive series of missions or following a linear plot, the game simply sets players free in its virtual community, where they can develop their houses, fashion sense, collections, and relationships with other characters however they see fit. <br><br>There is plenty to keep players busy in their little towns, however -- more activities than there is time in the day to do them. Players can collect bugs, fish, bones, and other natural items, they can improve their houses, design new outfits to wear, and they can even get a job to earn some money. Animal Crossing takes place in real-time, with a day-and-night cycle and seasons that change in synch with the actual time of year. Familiar (and not-so-familiar) holidays are celebrated in the game world, as in real life.<br><br>The multiplayer functions of Animal Crossing Wild World expand on those of its GameCube predecessor, through the handheld's wi-fi capabilities. Up to three Wild World players can meet together, in any of their villages, through a local or online wireless connection.

    Happy to fill the void while waiting for New Horizons

    I'm really happy to finally own this game! I know it's a repro, but honestly I could care less. It's a very high quality product and so far the game hasn't had any problems. Before this I impulsively bought a used Wild World at Gamestop for $35, and although I was happy to own the game, part of me wished to have a case as silly as it sounds. Then I found this product here and immediately returned the one I got at Gamestop! I'm excited to be able to play this and have been doing so everyday since it came in the mail :) It took a little longer than I expected but it was well worth the wait and the product came in great condition. Thank you so much !!

    A fun, relaxing game.

    It's a little awkward trying to explain why animal crossing is so good. It's not a game, but a character living his/her life. Time and seasons pass by in the game the same as in real life. You have neighbors you can talk to and different things you can do in your town. It's a very relaxed game that you just sink into.

    Great Game for Animal Crossing Fans

    It was amazing game to play with, it reminds me of new leaf but it has even more charm in my opinion, it's such a charming little game, I'm excited for NH and that game is gonna be the best one in the series yet

    Villagers are mean, I am happy

    Arrived on time, in great condition. That aside, WOW what a classic, great little game. Thoroughly enjoying this Animal Crossing experience, compared to New Leaf - the villagers are actually pretty mean sometimes and that thrills me. In the new games everyone is way too nice.

    Essential DS game to own

    It's Animal Crossing. Origins of a very lightweight, but fun casual ds game. Definitely one to have for Animal Crossing lovers. Obviously not as extensive as the newer ones, this one doesn't give you the range of appearance as the newer ones, but it's still remarkably extensive for its time. All the holidays are definitely a fun run atleast once, but I admit if you're not time traveling forward at your own pace by changing the date, you're playing at a cripplingly slow pace in terms of day-to-day activities. I still love it. 10/10
