Superb, history comes alive in this film!
Everyone knows the history of what happened to the Romanovs but in this movie in which the actors are all superb it is another thing to watch...to hope and pray Nicholas and his family somehow escape...but they do not and in fact did not. Brilliant film!

Accurate film
Very accurate picture of Nicholas and Alexandra. The actors look and act enough like the real couple. Some of the details are told but doesn't go into great depths due to timing. The extravagance of costumes, palaces, and scenery are out of this world.

Old and facinating tale!!
It's an old story but I was not aware of the facts. This is an old DVD and some items presented are not up-to-date but that is expected as more recent data is correcting the history. This is a riveting production, a complex tale and important one. Also, it is NOT dry but very engaging. The actors do a great job on bringing the characters to life!

underated masterpiece
An overlooked classic. Love 70's.indie films like carnal knowledge,5 easy pieces,and cisco.pike but nicholas is a big literate blockbuster that I truly craved!!!enough said buy, rent, or steal it historically delightful with superb acting.

A very fine movie Production. Good movies always have an outstanding Supporting Cast. This one does.
Received in good order and time. Played without a 'hiccup'. I have extra Jewel Cases. So both Art & Disk are secure.

Get it!!!!!!
Great historical drama of the Russian revolution and the fate of the czar, his wife and children. Beautiful, great photography, great detail of clothing, buildings. Wonderful acting all around, especially Rasputin the Monk?????

Last of the Czars
Excellent telling of the Russian Revolution and fall of the Romanov dynasty. How bad 👎 were the Czars? Lots of very important history here! Also, are the current Russians any better off??? Your call!

Historically accurate
I recently read “The Last Tsar” and wanted to visualize what I’d read. The scenery and costumes were amazing, and the movie seemed to follow the book in accuracy. I very much enjoyed it and will probably watch it again.
