The Marantz NR1403 Slim Line 5.1 channel home theater receiver features a compact design that leaves plenty of room for other components. Play excellent audio from a range of equipment, including Blu-ray players, DVD players, computers, tablets, CD players, and turntables. The Marantz NR1403 receiver includes five audio channels with power amplifiers and lets you hook up an array of surround sound equipment. Audyssey MultiEQ technnology helps balance the sound coming out of your speakers and improves the clarity of your audio. Sound enhancement technology such as EI Core power transformers and discrete amplification helps significantly boost the detail and quality of your stereo sound. Integrated surround technology is compatible with a large number of surround sound codec standards, including Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, Pro Logic II, DTS HD Master Audio, HD High Resolution, and Neo:6. You can connect speakers such as subwoofers, tower speakers, bookshelf speakers, and center speakers to this AVR receiver. A pre-amplifier out connection lets you connect external amplifiers and equalizers to offer even more control over your audio. The Marantz NR1403 AVR receiver features a stunning design. It is half the height of standard stereo receivers, so it takes up much less space in your living room. It has a glass-reinforced resin front panel, which is both durable and attractive. Its black color can complement virtually any decor scheme and is easy to match with existing components. This receiver includes a remote control for convenient hands-free operation, an AM loop antenna, an FM antenna, an AC power cable, and Audyssey setup microphone, and a user manual to help you operate the device. The digital display offers you on-screen setup, so it is easy to start listening to your favorite tunes. The Marantz NR1403 includes six HDMI inputs, letting you connect several audio and video devices, such as computers, DVD players, Blu-ray players, and media receivers, all at once. The HDMI output can connect to a variety of TV models. This Marantz receiver also includes three composite video inputs and one composite output for devices that do not have HDMI connections. This receiver also features a selection of audio inputs. It includes three analog left and right inputs, one digital optical input, and one digital coaxial input. These connections are compatible with components such as CD players, media player docks, and media streaming devices. You can also connect a turntable if you connect a phono preamp between the turntable output and the analog input on the receiver. Like many home theater receivers, you can also use the Marantz NR1403 to listen to the radio without connecting any additional tuner components. This model can pick up FM signals within the 87.5 to 107.9 MHz range and AM signals within the 520 to 1720 kHz range. The Marantz NR1403 is compatible with a wide variety of stereo accessories. You can use RCA cables to connect audio components to the left and right analog inputs as well as digital coaxial and optical cables to use those inputs in the receiver and hook up HDMI and composite video cables to connect video playback devices. You can use these cables to hook up components from other brands, such as Denon, Pioneer, Panasonic, or Sony. Use speaker cables to connect your speakers to the device. Great sound and video in compact unit.
Sounds is excellent - There is no Ethernet port or Bluetooth and clearly Marantz engineers concentrated on creating a superior audio and video product rather than one that has a bunch of bells and whistles that does 15 things badly and ultimately breaks down on you . Absolutely NEEDS remote to set-up and operate: do not buy unit without it OR budget for the extra expense. Marantz has great tone quality
I got this unit for my bedroom and the sound quality is great for a small room. My front and center speakers sound good however as yet I haven’t been able to get sound from the surround speakers. I’m looking at a manual online to see what I’m doing wrong but haven’t figured it out yet. Hopefully I will figure this out and that it’s just me and not the amp. Slim form factor
