I think you have to mess around with the settings to get a sound you like.plus the speaker gets better the more you use it. But the main thing is, is that it’s quiet and the level of bass is not invasive.so you can practice quietly without disturbing neighbours. I hate wearing earphones and the trouble with playing unamplified is that your technique can get sloppy. So if you just take it for what it is,it’s a great amp just for practice. Plus I love how tiny it is. Easy to take with you to a friends if you just want a low noise jam.you don’t have to get paranoid about people banging on walls and ceilings! Very well thought out. Does exactly what it says on the tin
Great little piece of kit though not without a minor flaw. Play4 string bass in regular tuning? It deals with this with no hassle at all and has a clarity and smoothness that you wouldn't expect from a 3w amplifier with a 3" speaker! The only thing I could find to say something negative about it is that it really struggles to deal with a detuned 5 string low G, that said, it's a 3w amp and a 3" speaker, it's asking a lot of many full size rigs to deal with those kind of notes flawlessly! Honestly, all in all, it's a great little piece of kit and does exactly what it's supposed to very well indeed.

Impressive
This isn’t a 1000 watt stack and doesn’t sound like one which is fine. For a 3 watt combo with a 3 inch speaker the sound is impressive. Perfect for low level practice and recording. This is the best thing I’ve bought in a while.

Great little speaker
Loving this little piece of kit. Ideal for bass beginners and practice at home. Plenty of volume for a 3 watt speaker as well as tone options.

Better than expected.
For such a small amp i am surprised by how good it sounds. The compressor is a great addition too, its a little bit expensive for such a small amp but considering the quality of the product id say its worth it.

Good value as a practice amp.
Compact and produces a good volume for home practice. Don't know yet how long batteries last but so far so good.

Goldstar for Blackstar
Really impressed with the tiny fly 3, it has a crisp clean sound and is loud for such a small amp. if small and portable is what you’re looking for i would recommend.
