Excellent product and price.
Electric Dryer would not turn on. After some looking noticed that the door switch was sort of "floppy" when I pressed on it. Figured this was the problem once I held down the start button and simultaneously jiggled the door switch and the dryer came back to life for a bit. Ordered this item and received it in a week. Priced much lower than appliance stores were quoting me. Installation was quick and item was exact replacement. So far everything is working great. Works great
Product is and works as described. Hope it lasts as long as the original (20+ years). Fairly easy install in Whirlpool dryer. The difficult parts about the install were 1) getting the dryer top up and open and 2) disconnecting the old switch from its mating connector. Perfect replacement gets the dryer drying again.
Looks just like the one it replaces and works great. Can use the dryer again. Without this little switch the dryer won't even start (because it thinks the door is open). Dryer wasn't working properly
All of a sudden the light wasn't working inside the dryer - thought the bulb was out. Then happened to open the door while it was running and it didn't stop turning the drum. Realized the door interlock was bad and ordered a replacement. Received it right away, but took me a little while to get to install it. Very easy to install once I went to You Tube to see how. Worked great
The dryer works again! The only difference is that this switch attaches backwards versus what was in the Whirlpool dryer, but that is not a problem and it fits easily. (If you attach the piece the way the old one was, the tab is backwards...On other driers, maybe no difference. But none of that matters. You'll see when you open the dryer to install the new switch.) Ten minute dryer fix
So the dryer doesn't stop when you open the door and the light doesn't come on. The switch is broken. A quick review of a few Youtube videos shows how to open the dryer and reach the switch. There are plenty of switches listed on ebay and I order one from a company located in the neighboring state. Perfect replacement part!

Great OEM Product
This genuine OEM Whirlpool/Kenmore, dryer door switch was just as described and pictured. The Sears Appliance Tekkie installed the switch with no problems. It works just like it should. Even though the sealed plastic bag containing the switch says made in USA and the switch itself is stamped made in China, don't let that bother you. Good replacement.
It fit well and has been working well for about a month now. The only problem is that, on the original switch, there was some sealant around the wires where they enter the switch. That sealant serves to prevent lint or dust from entering the switch from above. This replacement switch did not have that sealant.
