A small-town Texas family led by matriarch Peggy Ingram (Rue McClanahan) is rocked by the arrival of Bitsy Mae Harling (Oliva Newton John), a bar singer who has recently been released from prison. Elsewhere, Peggy's daughters (Ann Walker, Bonnie Bedelia) continue to be a source of anxiety, while her son (Leslie Jordan) schemes to escape from a mental institution whose staff believes they can cure him of his homosexuality. The show also features Caroline Rhea, David Cowgill, Margaret Cho, and Sarah Hunely.

Sordid Lives The Series
It’s a tragedy Sordid Lives, The Series went away. I’ve read many articles why it did, there had to be a way to keep it going. The BEST comedy ever! All the characters are well written and the one liners Brother Boy zings make me laugh so hard my sides hurt. Find a copy if you can, you’ll laugh for hours!!!

Hilariously Dysfunctional Family
So funny and quirky! Love the Sordid Lives movies, but I’d never seen the series. So happy to finally get my hands on a copy.
