Even though it's a few years old completely relevant
everything in this book is completely relevant, even if it is a few years old. The author covers every single thing you could need to know and things you had not thought of, it is covered in this book. Great resource for anyone into the outdoors.
The only reason for not 5 stars is because some of the information is outdated, mostly on gear selections. It's an overall excellent book for general knowledge on many subjects, trap building, rope & knots, identifying plants and animal tracks, first aid, navigation and so much more. I have nothing bad to say about this book. It is very well written and covers everything, that a person could think of. It is my belief that if you go into the woods with this book, your chances of coming out alive are fantastic. Very Helpful Book
As they say, "Information weighs nothing." There is a lot of information for the average outdoors person in this book. It falls more into the " one of everything vs. all of one thing" category as you collect information.
