Great game, but some maintenance may be required.
Much in the vein of Dark Tower and The Omega Virus, Mall Madness is a family electronic/board game hybrid that challenges players to optimize their money to be the first to get 6 items from the mall and exit. You'll find most of the strategy is based around weighing the advantages of a closely located store and a possible sale that is further away. The rules are fairly simple as most of the complexity of the game is handled by a central battery-operated game master of sorts. Movement, random events, and results from purchases and bank withdrawals are all handled by the computer module. It's a 20-30 minute casual play that shows off the fun teenage mall culture of the 80s and early 90s. Setup of the game takes a bit as little cardboard pieces slide into plastic walls and cardboard walkways bridge across the mall. The whole setup is quite impressive and brings the feeling of a mall to life. Just be ready to give yourself a bit of time to learn what goes where. The computer module is battery operated, meaning if you get the game used, the game could be damaged from battery corrosion. While this is usually repairable, you will want to investigate this possible issue (like I had with my copy) prior to storage. Good game. Too bad it's collectable, thus inflating the price. Fun for the whole family and it's an easy teach. Takes a bit to setup and might require some repair, but it's worth it.

Great game!
We have played this game multiple times already. All ages enjoy it and even the teenage boys got a kick out of it! Not too long a game, it is easy and realistic and yet with just enough cuteness. Great to have once again.

Arrived exactly as described with minor wear. Our daughter had this game as an 8 yr old and now is enjoying it immensely with her 23 yr old friends

SO HAPPY
I was so happy I found this game! I used to play it all the time as a kid, this was in good shape, the batteries were working and had all the pieces! Truly amazing!

Lots of fun!
Such a fun game! My kids and I really had a blast. I had never heard or played this game as a kid but liked all the reviews and thought I would give it a go with my kids. Oh mall days... the memories of when I was growing up. (LOL) Too bad my kids won’t experience this in this time. Highly recommend this version for playing for fun!

Great experience for kids!
My granddaughter's loved it when they saw I had their Mom's from 1989, it didn't work so I purchased this one and they won't stop playing with it!

Works Great!
Super fun my daughter loves it probably her favorite game. . I had one in my attic but the computer part did not work so this was a replacement but the game was in such mint condition i just pitched my old one and we use this one.
