The RA170 Power Amplifier was designed especially for the installation contractor. The RA170 is a single rack-space, mono unit with a choice of an RCA or 1/4 unbalanced input. The 70 volt speaker outputs are provided via spring-loaded terminals - no transformer is required for speaker connection. The front panel includes a Power indicator LED, a Volume control, and two Clip LEDs which indicate circuitry overload. The output circuitry is protected from momentary shorting and excessive load by a specially designed protective circuit. 70 Watts of clean amplification into 70 V system. Spring-loaded output terminals. Front-panel heat sinking. Specifications:. Recommended Load: 70 Volt line (70 Watts maximum). Frequency Response: 70Hz to 20 kHz. Equiv. Nice Simple Amplifier
I have installed four of the RA170's and they all exceeded my expectations. They are a simple well made, "in the USA", and easy to set up. The only draw back is the lack of balanced inputs. Other than that its a great little amplifier.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

A little undecided
Amp fired up and appears to work great but gets a clipping signal and shuts off. Have played with the input setting to amp and output setting from amp and can only operate at about 50-60% power and about the same input feed from a mixing board. Can't blame on the amp at this writing as this is a 70V feed so could have a non transformed speaker in the loop or a feed issue from the board. 70 watts should be plenty for this application but exchanging amps with a 200 watt and doing root cause on the system. Honest feedback for two weeks performance of this amp. Price was good and shipping worked out after some USPS issue but it's run by the government so that is to be expected.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht
