Very good place for three
Very good place for three. They look good. They don’t appear to be as heavy or should I say as thick at the base as the original, but if they hold up, that’s all I care about. I have cut my yard twice and so far so good. I’m cutting about two and a half acres every cut and I’m running the morning wide open, so time will tail. I have had the mower for three years and this is the second one I have lost. At that rate, I need to save a little money how ever I can. I wish the Hustler’s came with spindles with grease fittings. I used another brand of mower at work that had the zerks in the spindles and I would grease them every other cutting. I had two thousand hours on that mower and never lost one spindle. I have about 250 hours on this mower and have lost two. I understand why they put sealed bearings on a mower, but one that works this hard needs to have Grease fittings, if my bearings are going to fail I would rather it be my fault. Personally, I would rather grease them, than have to replace them, every two or three hundred hours. I watched a video on having grease fittings installed and at the cost of a spindle, it very much may be worth the cost of having them installed. I’ll try to get back to you on how well these new ones held up!
