The included spacers mean that it can be used with different focal length macro lenses. I found it to be very stable when my Sony A7 was mounted on it. No fear of it tipping over. I have some very old negatives from the 1920's and can use this to scan them into a digital archive. One thing to be aware of. If you have a Mamiya 645 camera, you might be better off buying the Cumulus scanner made for its orientation.

Could be slightly shorter on its closest setting as the image window doesn’t entirely fill up my Sony asp-c camera’s field of view (gets close though). Plastic threads feel a bit fragile.
