    It's nearly great. Quite powerful and cuts nice thin slices that'll compost. But, it needs a breaker. As it is, feeding fresh green holly, which is a hard wood, over 25mm or so, it can stall and then sometimes you can do a reset by unscrewing a long bolt and sometimes it'll blow the fuse in the plug. It pulls the branch in on its own and is not easy to modulate. I'm going to see if there's some undocumented adjustment and if that fixes it I'll update. But still, the design needs a breaker.

    On further investigation, there is a breaker on the machine, it's just slower than a normal 13A fuse. The machine itself has a slow blow fuse in its plug, but it's quite a short lead so you need a slow blow fuse in your extension as well! It would be a good thing to include one as they are not that easily found. On order now on eBay, fingers crossed :)

    Item arrived safely and courier "FedEx" was also spot on. Shredder itself was a great price especially with the coupon code that was within the item description. The build was challenging because the instructions were rubbish but .... there is an excellent video on YouTube that explains all perfectly. That aside, it is pretty quiet, a solid machine and a good company to deal with - Recommended.

    FM4DDE Compact Electric Wood Chipper 4HP

    Very fast, powerful and reliable machine with easy transport. It came to me very quickly in two packages and its assembly was very easy. I had to screw in nine screws in total. I bought it from Greece because from the market research I did, there is no better tool than this in the European market for the use I wanted it for. In practice, it left me completely satisfied. I will definitely write a review again in a year or so when I will have used it extensively and I will certainly have drawn more secure conclusions

    A must for any garden

    This bit of kit is very powerful and made from very strong steel so it won't let you down. Like a industrial wood chipper it's got a massive cutting block that will handle most things. For composting it's a must as it speeds up the process and gives you more material from thing you would normally burn and that can only be a good thing...

    GOOD BUT WITH FLAWS

    A GOOD POWERFUL SHREDDER BUT NOT WITHOUT ITS ISSUES FIRSTLY IT DOES NOT FIT OVER MY WHEELBARROW AS PICTURED AND THAT WAS A REAL PAIN ITS MUCH SMALLER THAN IT LOOKS SO I HAD TO MAKE UP A FRAME TO STAND IT ON FOR IT TO BE ABLE TO SHRED INTO MY WHELLBARROW BIT OF A PAIN AS ITS ALSO VERY HEAVY AND DIFFICULT TO LIFT ONTO THE FRAME ,SURELY THEY COULD HAVE JUST MADE THE WHEELS BIGGER. NOT ENOUGH LEAD AS USUAL AND NEEDS ASSEMBLY COMES IN 2 BOXES THE OTHER ISSUE WITH THIS IS IT HAS A COVER GUARD WHERE YOU PUT THE WASTE IN AND THAT MAKES IT ONLY SUITABLE FOR JUST LONG TWIGS OR STICKS ANYTHING BRANCHED OR WITH LEAVES ON WILL NOT GO INTO IT WHICH SEEMS POINTLESS AS YOU WOULD THEN HAVE TO STRIP ALL WASTE FIRST.TO RESOLVE THIS I HAD TO TAKE THE GUARD OUT (NOT RECCOMENDED BY ME) BUT WAS THE ONLY WAY I ...
