    Compelling book

    A must read about what it’s like growing up under communism. I’ve been appreciating every freedom we have in the Western as I’m following along the author’s experience.

    N.Korea exposed

    I’m closing out on the end now. I actually could not put the book down last night and am tired today but it was worth it. If anyone wants to know what’s going on in North Korea this book captures the atrocities. This young lady has quite a good vocabulary and puts us right in the middle of the nightmares she lived through.

    Life in North Korea as never showcased by its own country

    Following this person's accounts of life in North Korea and then departing from that country is worth finding out about. One can learn the contrasts among countries and between totalitarianism and republics. This is one of the few ways the free world has to find out about such countries like this one.

    I find this to be a great book. It has captured my interest, I real page turner. I can’t believe all this poor girl went through. I must read!

    Should be required reading!

    This book should be required reading in high school and college. The lack of freedom, the propaganda, this book, the real people who suffered through this, should make people realize our freedom here is worth fighting for.
